DAF First Choice used trucks now with one-year manufacturer’s warranty
First Choice, the quality-assured DAF used truck programme managed by PACCAR Financial, has boosted its aftersales offering by adding, as standard, a full one-year DAF Trucks warranty package on all Euro 6 CF and XF models. First Choice offers supplemental and extended warranties across its range of late model / low-mileage used vehicles.
Three First Choice models will be exhibited at the CV Show on DAF Trucks’ outside display area adjacent to its main stand in Hall 5. Two premium specification XF 530 FTG 6x2 tractor with Super Space Cabs and an XF 510 FTG, also with Super Space Cab, will be available for sale at the show.
The First Choice used truck portfolio includes only selected models of no more than five years old and with less than 500,000km on the clock (for tractor units). Each vehicle undergoes a thorough inspection process, including a 200-point checklist, before defects are made good and the vehicle is presented in show-room condition, ready for the road.
“To achieve the quality hallmark, every one of our First Choice trucks undergoes a seriously tough examination,” said Paul Young, Regional Asset Manager at PACCAR Financial, “only 10 out of 10 is good enough. The truck has to pass all 200 points on the DAF checklist, putting it on a par with a new vehicle leaving the factory. In other words,” he said, “it’s almost as good as new.”
A range of DAF MultiSupport service and maintenance contracts are available for all First Choice used trucks, as well as competitive finance options funded through DAF Truck’s in-house finance company, PACCAR Financial.
DAF First Choice vehicles come to market through a dedicated website accessed exclusively by the DAF Network. The majority of DAF Trucks’ sales dealers are now accredited DAF First Choice dealers, thus providing nationwide coverage. With all vehicles prepared using the same quality-assured process, every participating DAF dealer, and every customer is assured of the same exacting standards.
