Equipped with an 8x2 rigid chassis, the DAF CF FAX is configured with twin steered front axles and one steered trailing axle. Making it ideally suited for transporting plant and equipment to restricted construction sites.

The setup of two steered front axles and two rear axles (one driven and one steered) make it ideal for transporting loads which are evenly distributed over the chassis. The three steered axles ensure minimal tyre scrub and drag when manoeuvring at low speed, which results in less wear and tear and less damage to the road surface. The body builder friendly chassis, wide range of dedicated body builder options and high axle loads also give the CF FAX added versatility to mount a heavy crane behind the cab for easy on and off loading of various heavy equipment.
