We are now recruiting the next generation of DAF Parts Specialists!
Our Dealer Parts Supply Chain Apprenticeship provides on the job training in the dealership, backed up by bespoke eLearning modules and training courses at DAF Academy in Haddenham and Skillnet Automotive Apprenticeships. You will also tour of the Leyland Assembly Plant and Parts Distribution Centre to witness the full range of our award-winning trucks being built.
The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship is delivered over 2 years, providing you with both on the job training and classroom-based instruction. The DAF Apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage whilst gaining industry leading qualifications.
Do you have what it takes?
You will:
- Be a key role within the dealership, interacting with all areas of the business including sales, service, and customers and provide expert advice and support to both customers and workshop colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong relationship building, influencing, and communication skills alongside sound analytical, information technology and numeracy skills.
- Be a brand ambassador for DAF, maintaining strong customer and business relationships providing seamless customer experience.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire DAF supply chain, including the impact and dependency of each function as we strive for efficiencies to deliver the best value for our business and our customers.
- Gain an understanding of the purpose and function of vehicle parts and specialist tools with an expert knowledge of the full range of our DAF products and TRP (all makes) products required for both our customers and the workshop.
What can you expect?
You will:
- Undertake a Level 3 Customer Service advanced apprenticeship, delivered over 18 months
- Be employed as a full time employee at 1 of over 135 DAF dealerships nationwide
- Be paid a competitive wage whilst gaining the skills, knowledge and experience needed to enter the automotive industry.
- Attend training at DAF Academy where you will gain key knowledge, skills and behaviours that are integral to the management of a successful Parts Operation
- Complete virtual group sessions, online self-study, and workplace activities, supported by Development Coaches
What do you need to join?
Applicants must:
- Be at least 16 years of age and not in full time education
- Have GCSE grades 4-9, (A-C or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Complete an online assessment and initial assessment
