Volume and high volume transport

A made-to-measure solution for every transport application. And this applies also to volume and high volume transport. For example, the transport within legal limits of loads of up to 115 m³ with a truck and central axle trailer.

The words ‘Volume and High Volume transport’ are self-explanatory. The transporters of automobile parts, domestic appliances, clothing and light building materials, in particular, always require lots of space.

Accordingly, DAF offers rigids with a chassis height of only 86 cm and tractors with a fifth-wheel coupling at a height of only 95 cm. And we even have tractor models where that height is as little as 91 cm. This is achieved by using lower tyres and a clever construction for the rear axle suspension, the fuel tanks and the exhaust system, which can facilitate an internal trailer or superstructure height of up to 3 metres.

Unique to the DAF trucks for (high) volume transport are their excellent driving characteristics, which have been widely praised in European trade publications. And when the choice is made for a driveline in which the engine produces only 1,000 rpm at 85 kmph, the result is a new standard in fuel efficiency.
