DAF has the right tools to support the special requirements that come into play when specifying vehicles for hazardous goods. For example, vehicles can be prepared for all ADR classes.

DAF uses four different ADR classes for the transport of flammable or hazardous liquids. In the highest class, a main switch is fitted as standard, as is an ADR tachograph, a made-to-measure parking heater or a second brake, with a choice of an MX Engine Brake or an Intarder. The TraXon gearbox can be specified with a special software setting which is optimised for the safe transportation of these liquid goods in tankers.

It is also useful to know that many of the latest comfort and safety technologies are now standard features in a DAF, including Vehicle Stability Control, Lane Departure Warning and Advanced Emergency Braking. And DAF is the only brand that offers Adaptive Cruise Control as standard.
