Fleet Sales Manager

Reporting to: Fleet Sales Director

Location: Field-based/National Role

Overall job purpose: 

The role is responsible for managing designated key national fleet accounts, providing the highest levels of account management to ensure we achieve our sales objectives, whilst also maximising group revenues and profitability.

This is a field-based role with regular travel in the UK and Europe. 

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintain close relationships with nominated accounts and provide regular product and service updates.
  • Predict, develop and achieve annual truck sales volume and associated services plan for nominated customer accounts, ensuring that the best possible integrated customer solutions are offered.
  • Manage the order process, volume targets and the impact on DAF Trucks revenue and margin objectives in conjunction with the nominated supplying dealer.
  • Attending industry and customer hospitality functions, both during and outside the normal working day.
  • Complete comprehensive tender documents for nominated accounts ensuring DAF policies and procedures are correctly portrayed.
  • Develop and maintain strategic customer account plans. 
  • Drive inter-departmental consolidated customer reviews to ensure each part of the business has an opportunity for input and to leverage all existing relationships, providing incremental customer engagement opportunities and associated increased group revenues & margin.

  • High levels of drive, energy and be highly self-motivated.
  • A creative and flexible approach to solving challenges.
  • Strong commercial background with excellent organisational awareness, sensitivity, and sound business judgement.
  • A positive mindset and a passion for the DAF brand, being an excellent ambassador for DAF and our values.
  • A clean and current driving licence with no restrictions on travel.
